NATIONAL SCHOOL OF FENG-SHUI

Feng Shui originated in China at least three thousand years ago, and it literarily means "wind and water". This art studies the influence of space in our well-being and the way the places where we live and work reflect on how we feel.

Its bases are rooted in the Oriental cosmology and on the unique principle of the two antagonistic forces of heaven and earth: Yin and Yang. The basic principle is that there is a vital energy (ki) in all manifestations in the Universe. By knowing how this ki flows in the surrounding space, we can analyse excesses and stagnation and understand its interaction with the human beings' energetic field.

It is thus possible, after making the necessary corrections, to solve or improve health, emotional, financial or career issues.
By simply changing the colour of a wall, changing the furniture disposition, or placing natural plants in a certain position, we can substantially change the energetic condition of our homes and, consequently, our own.

In modern Western society, Feng Shui is rapidly becoming a valid alternative for an increasing number of people, given the real changes it has imprinted in their lives.

The practical uses in the areas of interior/exterior design, architecture, garden and urban planning are increasingly sought after by both private persons and private companies and multinationals.

The National School of Feng-Shui is developing an innovative dissemination work of this art, using teaching methods adapted to the present reality. The IMP course syllabus is one of the most comprehensive at international level and is tutored by a vast scope of renowned Portuguese and foreign teachers.
This Course is for anyone interested and no enrolment pre-requisites are necessary. Architects, engineers and designers can acquire increasingly sought after professional enhancement to solve problems in their daily practice. Students seeking vocational training may attend further classes specifically for that purpose at the end of the course.

  Alexandre Gama has a degree in Animal Production Engineering and has completed the Feng Shui Course in the IMP. He is a Feng Shui consultant, develops projects, writes for magazines and served as an interior designer on the television show " Querido mudei a casa" - ("Honey I changed the house"). He is the author of "Feng Shui @ Lares e Costumes Portugueses " - ("Feng Shui @ Portuguese Homes and Customs").

  Fernando Perez is a Feng Shui consultant and is particularly interested in the study of subjects relating to space harmony. He is a Feng Shui teacher in Architecture courses in Madrid, where he also runs training in Dowsing and Geobiology.

  Francisco Varatojo, Director of IMP, is one of the best qualified macrobiotic consultants. Over the years he has given numerous lectures and speeches in various public institutions. He is a guest teacher at the Calouste Gulbenkian Higher Nurses' Institute. He is a regular teacher and conference lecturer in Europe and in the USA. He is a regular columnist of SOL weekly newspaper.

  Simon Brown is one of the most widely published Macrobiotics teachers. He was the head of the London Macrobiotic Centre, Community Health Foundation, and ran the first Feng Shui courses in the UK. He is a member of UK's Feng Shui Society, Macrobiotic Association and Shiatsu Society.
